Today’s East Cobb Real Estate Market
East Cobb is home to over 150,000 residents; if it were a city, it would be second only to Atlanta in terms of sheer population. The community as a whole is near the boundaries of Fulton County and Cherokee County. To the northeast it is bordered by Roswell, to the southeast by Sandy Springs, and to the west by Marietta.
East Cobb Community History
East Cobb has been home to many small communities since the 1800s. Yet it does not have a cohesive story until the 1960s, when this area became a popular suburb for people commuting to Atlanta. Through the years, various efforts have been made to incorporate East Cobb and form a city, but residents prefer to remain unincorporated - in part because of the tax benefits. You might say that in East Cobb, you can belong to Atlanta’s metro area while still retaining many of the perks of living in a smaller town.
